LIQUID:
Liquid can be compressed and be poured. Molequels spreads out which makes liquid. Liquids can be a drink, water and etc.

SOLID:

Solid's examples is ice cube. The solid cant be compressed and solids are very hard. This is because the molequels squashes/pushes it and makes the solid hard.

GAS:

Gases cannot be poured into something but it can be compressed.Gases takes up alot of space, the gases can fill up anything. Also gases are everywhere. Eample of an gas in CARBON DIOXIDE!!
What is sublimation?
Sublimation is a change directly from the solid to the gaseous state without becoming liquid
Supposing you increase the pressure of the air above the boiling liquid. What would happen to the boiling point of the water?
I think that the air above would decrease

Imagine that you are trying to boil water for a cup of tea up a mountain. Why would the cup of tea be fairly horrible?
I believe that it would be fairly horrible because the temperatures up the mountain are all different. This is why I think it could be horrible.

1. Why do icebergs float in antarctic and arctic waters? Do you think there is much of the iceberg under water or is it mostly above the water? How could you test your hypothesis?
The water is one of the few substances that is slightly denser as a liquid than as a solid. This is why ice cubes float in water. I think that there is more in the water because the iceberg melts into liguid and get's in the water.

When you have a jar with a very tight lid, you can run it under hot water and it becomes easier to open. Why?
This is because the steel lid expands more quickly than the glass when it is heated and because steel lid heats up more quickly than the glass. As the steel expands when it is heated and glass expands far less it comes away from the glass and makes opening the jar easier!!!

EMULSION liquid in liquid An emulsion is a mixture of 2 or more unblendable liquids. Most of the emulsion are oil and water. Emulsion are unblendable but you can make them blendable by mixing it or shaking it. The examples of EMULSION are... Milk, Salad dressing, margarine, mayonnaise, egg yalk and more.... external image Mayonnaise-Howie_B.XCrispin_HuntX_Will_Donovan_480.jpg external image milk.jpg external image A.jpg etc..
